Marianne Wood is an experienced business consultant with a strong background in information technology, management consulting, project management, software implementation, and communication strategies. Marianne provides consulting and advisory services to small businesses and medium to large corporations across multiple industries. She works with clients to manage their program/project portfolio; improve their business processes; analyze and synthesize data for management reporting; research, analyze, and implement software and hardware products; and design and develop communication products for online, presentation and printing purposes.
She is actively involved with volunteer community development, applying her extensive experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing community service activities and projects for non-profit organizations and schools. She has been a member of several non-profit Boards, including Lake County Cares and the Mothers Trust Foundation and was a member of the Chicago Leadership Council for NARAL.
As an active business advisor and a board member, she has helped shape the positioning messages and communications strategies of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, assisted in the design of fund raising programs, and designed and delivered client and membership communications. Her work encompasses both print and online channels and she has been instrumental in guiding businesses and organizations to make effective use of both traditional and emerging communications media. Previously, she was a senior manager with Ernst & Young LLP, where she designed and managed the development of online knowledge-base, systems development methodology and software products for clients and internal technical support staff. She has also worked for computer software product companies where she designed and developed user interfaces, software documentation and client training materials.
